Week 4- Amy

I think my vision for the project is unanimous with the rest of my group; we want to make a fun shooter with pixel art visuals and some fun moments that keep players engaged. So far my responsibilities have been making assets for the game and I may, in the future, work on some coding.

Currently for this week we’ve been ironing out our basic core mechanics and what goes along with the bones of our project so we can expand from there. To me, the base is our shooting and asteroid spawning- with those implemented we can work on a lot of different things if we wanted to. So for this week I had a look on the other foundation aspects of a game, the audio and art.

In photoshop I messed around with what size the background of our game should be and decided for it to be 640 x 360 px. From here I placed assets in to see what changes to make with the size of our assets, making sure they look right and fit comfortably on the screen. For audio, I researched free audios on itch and picked out what sounds I think would work best.
