Week 8 - TJ


I started making animations for the reload and the health bar to signify when you are on 0 ammo, lose health and gain health back. I made the animation for the reload (it flashes red and yellow)

After doing this I learned I didnt actually need to make these animations, as most of what I had planned was just flashing colors James said if I provided him with a copy of it that was white, he could do it in engine.

Because I didnt have to do this anymore, I was playtesting the game and noticed that the current sprite for the bullet isnt custom, so I decided to make one with the extra time I had.

After this I then decided to work on my last task which was the logo of the game, again since I had extra time I decided to animate the logo and to save on what James had to do I would implement it into unity.

This is the logo I made, I wanted to make each letter represent the game, so the S is a tentacle, the E is an astroid, the C is a crystal astroid, the T is a different colored asteroid, the O is an eyeball, the R is a fire astroid and the numbers are drawn in the same futureistic style that the HUD is drawn in. 

For animations my plan was the make the S wiggle, the crystals on the C sparkle and the eyeball blink. I did all of this and implemented it into unity, I did this in my own branch so James just had to merge it and he would have the logo all animated!!!

To finalize the game I combined the logo and Amys cuthulu art to have a banner for it.
