Week 5 - TJ
After the vertical slice we took a look at how we wanted to make the game, people liked it but they werent in love. We are going to switch to a projectile based system and add reload, and add more mechanics to make the game more fun. For my work I needed to finish up the pause menu and adjust some of the HUD.
I made the death screen UI, this screen will state your score, your highscore, how many astroids you hit and will have a button to go back to the main menu or restart. I had to seperate the asset into different assets so it could be implemented. I made it based off a wire frame amy made but had to adjust the wire frame a bit to make it symetrical. I used a similar style to the HUD in the game to make it visually cohesive, so it looks like its in the same visor that is in the main game.

From the vertical slice people said the UI was too big so I made it smaller and adjusted it.
We are starting to add powerups, so im going to make icons for these powerups to put on the HUD so the player knows what powerup they have, I was going to make assets for the main menu but the main menu is just reused assets so we dont need anything new for that, so now my goal is to just make the logo for the main menu now. But that isnt top priority new gun sprite and powerup icons come first.
