Week 6- TJ
This week I worked on the new gun sprite and the powerup icons.
For the new gun sprite I wanted to make it appear more like a canon, but I liked the visual identity of the first one so I didnt change it too much. I created a version with glass on top to create more visual intrest and asked my teammates what they thought, but they prefereed the first one. I had to seperate the gun at the top of the sprite and the ball at the bottom into seperate sprites, as in the game the turrent at the top follows your mouse. But the ball remains static.


I then created 3 powerup icons for the three powerups we had, Quicker reload, triple shot and a X2 multipler to your score It took me a second to figure out how to make them easy to read visually so the player would understand what they would do. The powerup goes in the middle bar of the HUD display. So its easy to read.

We have a playtest with the first years upcoming and I think we have a good base level of mechanics to hear what they think of it.
